We have an immediate opening for the regular, full-time position of Assistant Manager, Solid Waste Operations. The successful candidate will have a degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Solid Waste Management or a related field and hold a valid BC driver’s license.  

You have strong interpersonal and communication skills, proven leadership capabilities and excellent customer service skills. You have extensive knowledge of solid waste management, including legislation and best practices related to landfill and recycling operations.

Reporting to Manager, Solid Waste Operations, the Assistant Manager, Solid Waste Operations manages Inspector and Scale Attendant staff and coordinates the daily operation and maintenance of all Regional District solid waste facilities.

This is a regular, full-time position (35 hours/week) with an annual salary of $87,706 to $96,278 (2026 rates), depending on qualifications and experience, as well as an extensive benefits package and generous compressed work schedule.
