We have an immediate opening for the regular, full-time position of Clerk, Environmental Services located at our Greater Vernon Diversion and Disposal Facility. The successful candidate will have a certificate in business, office administration, environmental sciences or a related program, supplemented by exceptional customer service skills. 

You possess one year of related clerical and customer service experience, preferably in a local government setting. Familiarity with the provisions of the RDNO Municipal Solid Waste Management Bylaw is a definite asset. The successful candidate must hold a valid BC driver’s license.  

Reporting to the Manager, Environmental Services, the Clerk, Environmental Services provides clerical and administrative support to the Environmental Services team within the Strategic & Community Services Department. This position also performs Scale Attendant duties to provide coverage for daily breaks, vacation and sick time.

This is a regular, full-time position (35 hours/week) with a starting wage of $30.00 per hour, increasing to $34.51 over time, as well as an extensive benefits package and generous compressed work schedule.
