We have an opening for the regular, full-time position of Financial Analyst. The successful candidate will have a university degree in commerce or business administration, a CPA designation, a valid BC driver’s license, and a minimum of four years of related experience within local government or a professional accounting firm. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
You are detailed oriented, analytical and an excellent verbal and written communicator. You have excellent knowledge of financial reporting for local government and experience with Vadim, Tempest and CaseWare software systems.
Reporting to the Manager, Financial Services, the Financial Analyst is responsible for preparing and analysing financial reports and data of a complex and technical nature. The incumbent will assist with preparing annual financial statements, other year-end reporting requirements and the financial plan, as well as completing bank reconciliations and maintaining the capital asset inventory.

This is a full-time position with a wage range of $40.22 to $46.24 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications, as well as an extensive benefits package and generous compressed work schedule.
